Coins are a good example of relief sculpture. All relief sculpture can be poured in a mold and the mold removed because there are no undercuts. Working in relief with sculpture clay is very satisfying, reminding me of when I was a kid and my mother gave me “molding clay (before Play-Dough).” I made things, rolled coils and made animals.
