Our decision to be associated with human beings is a spiritual responsibility that we have chosen in order to assist you, as well as ourselves. We act as messengers of information that will encourage the being to take action that will improve his or her daily life, but we do so in a manner that is subtly suggestive, not as direct orders—for that would take away the freedom of choice of the individual. We are guided in our plans of action, and we take our responsibilities seriously. In our spiritual world, our assistance to others enables us to advance to higher levels that further our own education and path toward enlightenment.
You have chosen a physical life on Earth for the purpose of learning about love and forgiveness. This dual objective is the main reason that any spirit chooses to return to Earth. The moment of (re)birth erases all trace memories of the previous spiritual existences, as well as the decision to enter another Earth lifetime. This is to protect the spiritual part of the being from remembering, because if anything were recalled, the instant pull back into the spiritual world would be so strong that the individual would soon want to return without having gained anything from their new life.
There is pleasure in seeing the development of our physical friends as they travel along their own paths to enlightenment. We are always aware of your presence, even though you are not so much aware of ours. Your protective egos keep much of your awareness separated from our spiritual world, although the threads to spiritual truth are always present for the human being to pick up and examine. It may take a lifetime to learn about spiritual matters, but time is not needed or related to the spiritual experience. In this space of understanding and awareness, you may become dissatisfied with your pace of understanding, but be patient, and remember that time has nothing to do with spiritual matters.
